Tears of Tetricala continues

Still working on updating "Tears of Tetricala" and integrating the prologue, "Masquerave!" into it. Lately, I have been playing around with using RPG Maker MV, as it adds many levels of interactivity and player agency that are just hard to find with Twine. Still not convinced it is the best method forward, but as I am not a programmer, it might be my best option available to build a prototype to eventually find a team to work with.

Twine Pros: Interactive Fiction, Readable parts are easy to access, story structure can branch as much as you'd like

Twine Cons: Doesn't always feel like a game, lots of reading, small market of interested players, have to rely on AI art for now

RPG Maker MV Pros: More player agency, RPG feels are there more, a larger market of players, easier to envision the world, 8-bit art

RPG Maker MV Cons: Harder to make branching narratives, pre-set assets are overused, the market is flooded with sub-par games made with it

We shall see what I decide to do with it. For now, finishing up "El Cid & the Cult of the Wastelands" and starting a new project from Upwork making the dialogue for a game about late Medieval/early Renaissance Venice.
